'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story' review

There has been a rebellion - have you hoped it?

The hour is finally upon us and it’s time to start a new stage in ‘Star Wars’ history - the first ever anthology entry in the franchise, a format that is currently brand spanking new, but one that we’ll soon become extremely familiar with.

Leading the charge of this next chapter of the ‘Star Wars’ story is ‘Rogue One’, detailing the theft of the plans of one of the Empire’s many Death Stars by a plucky group of Alliance spies. Will us having pre-knowledge of later events hamper audience engagement in the film? Will this new ‘Star Wars’ format solidify confidence after the triumph of ‘The Force Awakens', or give us pause for thought? Most vitally, will the man-children of the internet be able to cope with two consecutive films featuring a female protagonist?

For the answer to these questions and many more - punch it!
